Gliding among the tree tops and enjoying the landscape from a different angle is becoming one of the most entertaining activities around Pucon. It consists of long zip lines that join the tree tops forming a high-rise circuit. On the wood platform built in the tree top there is a guider that receives people. They check the equipment and send them to the next platform. The glide is almost flying at a controlled speed, depending on the slope and the break that each person uses as they wish. The varied offer includes 7 circuits. Among them is the zip line located in the San Luis sector off the international road, with a record length for South America of 11,150 feet (3400 m). This tour lasts 1 ½ hours. It can be reached directly or through tourism agencies. Prices vary, starting at 18 thousand pesos per person. It includes equipment, guider, insurance, previous instruction and transport. Agencies do 3 trips a day and the adventure is for a minimum of two people. Physical demand is medium-low, and you need to be intrepid and ignore the heights (some platforms towering at up to 330 feet—100 m.) The speed reached is from 18 to 45 miles (30-70 km) per hour. What to bring: Wind breaker, sun block, camera, comfortable clothes. LUGARES RECOMENDADOS Bosque Aventura: Located 10 km (6.2 miles) from Pucon, on the road to Caburga. This is one of the safest and most complete ones in Pucon. It comprises 11 lines between 40 and 240 m long (131 to 787 ft) at a height of up to 25 m (82 ft). Árbol Loco: Located 14 km (8.7 miles) from Pucon, on an international road. This site stands out for its high standard in security, its Tibetan bridges circuit and the long line that crosses over the Trancura River. Huife Aventura: Located 33 km (20 miles) from Pucon, on the road to Huife in the same Huife hot springs, you can combine adventure with fun in a zip-lining circuit within stunning scenery. Cuevas Volcánicas: Located 13 km (8 miles) from Pucon, on the road to the Villarica volcano, in the park of volcanic caves, enjoying a beautiful native forest and the volcanic landscape of the site.
