Riding these noble animals is an appealing possibility for the whole family. It is not necessary to be experienced and the younger ones can be accompanied by an adult. Horseback riding can have different durations, depending on the route you choose. This guided activity can be found in the outskirts of Pucon and can be hired directly or through tourism agencies. All the rides are assisted and guided through beautiful trails. Some routes observe waterfalls, beaches; others include picnics or Chilean barbecues (asado al palo) in lunching areas. You can find horseback riding from $7000 per person. It is recommendable to ask about the horses' temperament before deciding which one to ride, although all of them are so used to these expeditions that on the way back you don't need to guide them. What to bring: Hat, sunglasses and sun block. Bring water and comfortable clothes, preferably long pants because the horse's sweat can produce itching on some people, especially those with sensitive skin.
