This party is celebrated in the beach, where there is a large community party where everyone, Puconinos and tourists alike, takes part.

At the strike of midnight begins a spectacular party with fireworks and people hit the streets dancing and hugging.

We recommend arriving to the beach on foot when possible, because the traffic becomes very slow and you may loose hours trying to drive a couple of blocks.

Pucon's Anniversary Celebrations:

In February we celebrate the anniversary of Pucon. During the last week of this month there are several cultural and fun activities organized by the municipality of Pucon. Fairs and entertaining musical concerts of renown national and international artists can be found in the municipal stadium located on Colo-Colo street.

Pucón- Villarrica Races:

In the middle of the summer break there are also races for ships and other water vehicles that set out from La Poza towards the other end of the lake. A very attractive show that takes place in summertime.

Half Ironman:

Triathlon in Pucón. This is one of the most known endurance tests world wide, and highly ranked athletes from all over the world come to participate.

The circuit starts at Playa Grande with a swimming race in the Villarrica Lake, later they take the bikes and start an established circuit along the streets of Pucon, and they end in a race that tests the endurance and tenacity of its competitors.

The final stage takes place on O´Higgins street, before the enthusiasm of the audience, that encourages the athletes. The awards and closing ceremony takes place at the Plaza Grande with a huge audience present.

Volcano Challenge:

This is another activity featuring a route that crosses boundaries and crosses the mountain range to San Martín de los Andes, Argentina, and comes back by Panguipulli. The skillful competitors must complete sections by kayak, bicycle and finally running.
